A Message from Our President

Dear Southwest Region Conference Family: Summertime is ending, and fall is just around the corner as we prepare ourselves for the final months of 2021.  We praise God for His blessings on His people individually, and collectively as a Conference Family!  This is especially true when we consider the impact and effects of Hurricane Ida which most recently swept through Southern Louisiana.  Although property was damaged, electrical power was challenged, and water issues were paramount, God spared the lives of His people within the Southwest Region Conference territory as we have not heard of any......

The donations made through “Give blood, Give love” will help many across our community. Here are some interesting facts: African-American donations are vital because types O and B, the blood types of about 70% of African-Americans, are the blood types most in demand. Hispanics are the fastest growing part of the U.S. population; however, only a small percentage of Hispanics donate blood. Research has found that 60% of Hispanics have type O blood, which is the type most frequently requested by hospitals to treat patients with a range of health challenges.
